Coronado Wedding: Annie and Frank, Part One

Annie and Frank first crossed paths at work, and after a lucky seven years of dating, Frank popped the question by taking Annie on a scavenger hunt within their home. Based in Denver, they wanted to wed in a place with almost gaurenteed sunshine in the fall located a stone's throw away from the beach. Boom! The idea of a San Diego destination wedding was born, with a stunning private home in Coronado serving as the ideal place for their ceremony and reception. The groom's only request: beachside portraits. Frank asked, Frank received!

The day began with something I love: things that sparkle. Champagne, beautiful jewelry, and the prettiest headpiece that slipped perfectly into Annie's do.

As Annie was given her last touches of make up...

...her bridesmaids looked on in amazement and approval as she transformed into a bride.

The girls moved to Coronado's Hotel Marisol to dress, where Annie took a moment to herself to soak in the day and moment. I have to say it: Annie, you're stunning!

And so, putting on her wedding dress began, included the placement of an stunning broach, and her Grandmother's earrings, her something borrowed.

Back at the venue, Frank and his groomsmen were in full preparation mode.

These gentleman were not playing around! They were quick to get suited up and were ready for this wedding!

Creative Affairs Inc. transformed this Coronado private home into the ideal San Diego wedding and reception venue with beautiful florals from Cherry Blossom Floral Design and rentals from San Diego based Event Party Rentals.

With the venue ready, guests having arrived, and Annie and her bridesmaids on their way from Hotel Marisol, Frank patiently sat and awaited for the ceremony to begin.

Annie's parents beamed as they walked down the isle with Annie and Frank's dog, Lola, in hand, while Frank's Mom gave her son a strong hug before he head up to the alter.

Accompanied by her Father, Annie walked down the isle as Frank looked on as if the clouds had parted and a ray of sunshine was peering through.

With all of their friends and family, including Lola, in attendance, Annie and Frank wed.

Their vows were both emotional, with Frank right there to wipe Annie's tears...

...as well as downright hilarious, with both of them cracking up in laughter!

With a first kiss to seal the deal, Annie and Frank were pronounced husband and wife!

Because the only appropriate thing to do after getting married is toast!

Stay tuned for Part II of Annie and Frank's Coronado Wedding!

In-Home Family Lifestyle Photography: Adi, Clara, Luke & Ryan

Adi and Clara have lived in various corners of the globe both as individuals and as a couple, most recently in New York City and Bangkok. Now back in the tri-state area, they have settled into a beautiful home directly across from Manhattan in Fort Lee, New Jersey. As parents to two beautiful boys - Luke and baby Ryan - this will be home for years to come, so Adi and Clara wanted to document this time in their family's life with an in-home family lifestyle session taken late this past summer.

Baby Ryan, with his big eyes and calm demeanor, compliments his big brother Luke, who loves to run around and eat snacks, often at the same time, just perfectly.

Speaking of snacks, Luke had me dying laughing with his approach to eating!

Rest assured that Luke is a sharer and ensures everyone has a taste!

Ryan's chubby legs are so cute you want to pinch them, which is exactly how Luke shows him brotherly love.

This family also loves to read together.

As the morning came to an end, Ryan was ready to be rocked to sleep for a nap...

...and Luke gave me one last giggle before I left.

Adi and Clara, thank you for welcoming me to into your home to document your gorgeous family. Luke is so much fun and Ryan is such cutie-pie. I can't wait to make my way back to New York City to see you all again. xo -Evelyn

Sunset Cliffs Engagement Session: Berenice and David, Part II

Berenice, David, and I had already spent a part of the afternoon shooting their engagement session in Downtown San Diego and came up to Sunset Cliffs for the second part where the laughing didn't stop between them. Neither did the smiles, or hand holding, or sweet gazes at each other for no particular reason. Berenice and David are totally smitten for each other.

Bere and David love to go dancing and will be having a Latin band perform at their wedding, playing everything from salsa to merengue to cumbia. When I asked to see some of their moves, it was no surprise to see these two can tear it up on any floor!

Bere and David: thank you for such an amazing afternoon. The love you share is an inspiration, and shooting your engagement session has me even more so very HYPED to be photographing your Los Angeles wedding in two short months.  It cannot come soon enough! xo, E

Downtown San Diego Engagement Session: Berenice and David, Part I

When Berenice, aka Bere, met David, she instantly liked him, and as their relationship progressed, she came to find out that David possessed every quality in a guy she had ever wanted. David on the other hand, more than liked Bere: he knew from the get go that she was THE ONE, often telling her, "You know we're gonna get married one day, right?" Bere would shrug it off but knew he was right when she accepted his proposal a little less than a year into dating.

Both Los Angeles natives who currently reside there, Bere and David came to San Diego for a weekend getaway and to have their engagement photos shot. When I asked them what they liked to do as a couple, Bere immediately said, "We like to grab coffee or drinks" so we met downtown for ice cold lemonades for Part 1 of 2 of their engagement session.

I mean, come on now: Bere and David, you two are gorgeous!

I loved hanging out with these two because they are always making the other laugh!

Per above, David has no shame in his game: he will do anything to make Berenice happy.

Stay tuned for Part 2 of their engagement session!
